The theme for this series of Satsangs is Sat Shree’s Bhagavad Gita Revealed Books, which he will draw from in sequence. Sat Shree’s revelation on Saturday, September 20 will be on the topic of the Journey of Consciousness.
“The Gita is my path, although I didn’t discover it until I was well along on the journey. The Gita showed me that I was on a journey, a journey with a beginning, a middle, and an end. “
The Bhagavad Gita: An excerpt from The Bhagavad Gita Revealed Part 1: A Living Teaching for Our Time
I use the Bhagavad Gita as a framework for my teaching. The Gita, the Celestial Song, is the essence of the perennial wisdom of the Universe. It is a dialogue between Arjuna, a noble warrior, and Krishna, his charioteer, who represents our inner Guru, our divine compass. It maps the final stages of this eternal journey of consciousness that each of us is traveling, whether aware of it or not. It describes a universal structure that exists not just in its story or in my revelation of it, but as a reflection of the eternal principles of truth and love—the absolute, unchanging, eternal reality—and the interconnected oneness of Creation.
The Gita is my path, although I didn’t discover it until I was well along on the journey. The Gita showed me that I was on a journey, a journey with a beginning, a middle, and an end. It made clear to me that there are important stages and real transitions in this journey—like the “point of no return” where you can’t come back to the world again in your old conditioned ways.
The Bhagavad Gita describes both a path of transcendence and a path of transformation. Both paths are to be lived. It illustrates and engenders within us a new state of being, a new way to live—what I call the New Dharma. The Gita taps into the primordial archetypal structure that is the foundation of all existence and reveals the purpose of human life. It is a living scripture that offers a new paradigm for being, and for living the new consciousness now coming to the planet. We share this journey, this path, this new way. We are all in this together. We are all interconnected. Each of us matters. Each of us has a part to play.
As you read the Gita, let it sink in at whatever level you can. The more you can simply absorb it, the more you become simple, the more you become humble, quiet, and still, the more it will nurture you. You, too, will become the remembrance. You, too, will become the Song, like the Gita itself. You will be a song of remembrance. Your very words will carry remembrance to those who can receive it. As I sing the Song of the Supreme to each of you, the Gita is reborn. The great wonder of the Gita is that it creates a new Gita with each of us, with every Arjuna and Arjuni.
Love in Truth,
Sat Shree
